Art Deco statuette, “The Wave”, Guerbe / Le Verrier
Guerbe / Max Le Verrier — 1925-1930
Naturalist statuette of a young woman facing a wave, with a grayish-green patina. Signed to R. Guerbe, one of the pseudonyms used by Pierre Le Faguays, a prominent sculptor from the Art Deco period. This piece is made of “fonte d’art”, an iron alloy, used at the time, and was cast at the Le Verrier foundry, in Paris, between 1925 and 1930.

Very good condition , beautiful patina.
