"Dove" Dish / Ring Tray, Crystal, Lalique, France
Marc Lalique — 1950
A lovely crystal dish featuring a dove, signed Lalique. Lalique creations are among the most iconic examples of French luxury glassmaking. René Lalique founded his firm in 1888 and gained fame for his Art Nouveau jewelry before revolutionizing the art of glass, particularly through perfume bottles, vases, and decorative objects. After his death, his son Marc Lalique introduced crystal production in the 1950s. The piece presented here was designed as a jewelry dish—or ring tray. It depicts a dove rendered with delicate, detailed craftsmanship in molded crystal, combining satin and polished finishes. It bears a "Cristal, Lalique, Paris" label (likely dating to the 1950s).
Dimensions: approximately 9.5 cm x 7.5 cm.
Very good condition.
